BLUSH are an exciting new vocal trio from Toronto made up of Lesley Traballo, Karen Santos and Christina Gonzales. This youthful group, have been performing together for several years and met while attending at The New Conservatory of Music where they continue to take lessons to this day. The past several months saw them advance to a new level. They have recorded a four song CD at Phase One Recording Studios in Toronto with veteran producer David Bacha. The material, which was written especially for them, is a reflection of their beliefs and positive spirits, which they all share. In today’s youth culture, where it is hip to look and behave like an adult, kids are pressured to be something they are not and they often miss out on a lot of the good things that life has to offer when your 13 or 14 years old. This is exactly the message that BLUSH is sending out – it is hip to be you and not be influenced by the media driven images of today’s pop culture. Over the summer the trio will be preparing additional material and working on a video. They will also be appearing at a number of concerts including a guest appearance at Harbourfront on August 11^th as part of the Philippians Cultural festival. When school returns in the fall they intend on doing some performing to support their new CD and spread the message that it’s hip to be you!
