LET IT ROCK:
AT THE CROSSROADS OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL

Let It Rock at the Crossroads of Rock’N’Roll, Produced & Directed by Steve Thomson, is a must have DVD package for anyone who is a music fan or interested in the roots of Rock’n’Roll.  Thomson’s directorial début has received rave reviews from those treated to a pre-release screening of the package and the documentary has been given the nod from the Smithsonian Institution’s Rock’N’Soul Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. The Museum’s Executive Director, John Doyale had this to say:  “Akin to the way that the intersection of legendary boulevards Highway 61 and Beale Street ignited the world-changing explosion of rock and soul music, Let It Rock at the Crossroads of Rock'N' Roll transports us through a spellbinding documentary where both music history and legendary interviews and performances converge.”

The 1995 Award Winning concert, “Let It Rock”, was the inspiration for the documentary and features an all star line up of some of the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll musicians.  Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Ronnie Hawkins, Jeff Healey, The Band, Larry Gowan and more join in for an unforgettable performance at Toronto’s legendary Massey Hall.  Stan Perkins proclaimed, “That was a special night, everyone was in top form …I know I never saw Daddy put on a better show”.  In the documentary, an enthused, Jerry Lee Lewis states, "I never heard a better drummer, a better band, saxophones, piano players, organ players ... Man I tell you I have not had an inspiration like this since the first time I got married".

Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Ronnie Hawkins all rose to success in the 1950’s, right when country and blues music were melding into rockabilly. These artists would prove to have an incredible impact on the development of rock ‘n’ roll and the music that exists today. Other acts followed in their footsteps and pushed the boundaries of rock music even further. The Band, who started off as Hawkins’ backing band, Jeff Healey and Gowan all participated in this huge rock ‘n’ roll event.

Now in the tenth-anniversary year of the magical “Let It Rock” concert, music industry powerhouse Eagle Rock Entertainment, through its Eagle Vision brand, have released the stellar concert and documentary worldwide.  “Let It Rock at the Crossroads of Rock’N’Roll” offers fans an opportunity to discover and rediscover the music “that would challenge the times at its birth and change the course of music forever.”

Special DVD features include: an updated audio remix of the concert for Dolby and 5.1 Surround Sound; performances and tributes to some of rock history’s biggest names and many of the unsung heroes of rock’n’roll; rare, never before seen footage including vintage clips of Elvis Presley and The Beatles; a behind the scenes look into the making of the concert and a Director’s commentary track.
