Rita takes her career very seriously and is always looking for opportunities for advancement. She started working at Radio Monte Carlo in the spring of 1995 and brought with her a wide range of journalistic experience. A well rounded and knowledgeable individual, she has a strong journalistic background, which she developed through her experience in print media. She is a strong voice and a great asset to the MC-Douyalia team. Her specialties include Culture, Fashion and The Arts. She has a strong interest in Tennis having covered the world renowned tennis competition at Rolland Garos held in Paris, France from 1998 to 2004 for many noted publications. Over the past five years she has developed very strong production skills, producing her radio broadcasts at MC-Douyalia, which included developing story ideas, research, scripting and assembly of each broadcast. In addition, she acted in the role of news anchor during this period. From 2008 to 2009 inclusive her focus at MC-Douyalia was heath and medicine, where she built a reputation with many of Europe’s most esteemed Physicians. The success of this program is testament to her dedication and work ethic demonstrating her ability to handle one of the most challenging areas in journalism - medicine. This lead to a recent directional change at MC Doualiya where she currently is a specialized bi-lingual journalist on the news, the forum which MC Doualiya is noted for. This multitask position sees Rita using her versatile knowledge, covering topics including health, fashion, film, culture, world affairs etc. Rita stays one step ahead of the trends, keeping informed and up to date in all her areas of interest, making her a versatile broadcast journalist able to handle multiple programming areas. Her versatility coupled with her upbeat personality and charm comes through on the airwaves touching listeners in Europe, the Middle East and around the world. She speaks fluent French, Arabic and English. TelevisionRita has also had the opportunity to work in television co-hosting a series on the Hawaiian Islands for Travel Magazine in 2000. She is also the Arabic voice in the award winning children’s film “The Story of Lydia” (2009) for which she narrates the story in Literal Arabic. Print MediaRita has had hundreds of articles published in many magazines including Shaza, Fersan, Jamalouki and Arab Star where she was the principal journalist covering all activities including fashion, film, society and sports.
